Set on the beachfront of Taghazout, World of Waves is one of the most popular places to stay in this coastal fishing village in Morocco.
The World of Waves boutique hotel is an ideal location making it a wonderful place to base yourself for a surf trip, with beautiful rooms and breakfast included if you stay. World of Waves is a great affordable option, without sacrificing aesthetics or location and as a surf house offers everything you’ll need for a memorable surf trip.
When we first visited Taghazout, what made us fall in love with the place was enjoying breakfast on the terrace watching the fishing boats leave the beach in search of their daily catch.
It didn’t take us long to realise why so many travellers return to Taghazout, because it seems once you discover it, you can’t get it out of your head.
The World of Waves is a family-owned surf hotel, featuring 7 beautifully decorated rooms to choose from during your stay. We stayed in the Mystery room, which is one of the biggest rooms on the top floor. The room has a large double bed, designed with a boho decor throughout with local pieces such as colourful floor cushions.
Windows frame the ocean views which you can enjoy from the bed or floor cushions. The room benefits from a stylish en-suite and is connected to a shared balcony, the perfect place to roll out of bed in the morning and enjoy the sunrise. On warmer days you’ll be happy to know you have air con in your room.
World of Waves regularly hosts events such as movie nights on Wednesdays. The ground floor has a large indoor seating for the restaurant, it is not an official co-working space but you’ll notice a few digital nomads enjoying this space with a delicious drink or meal.
Whilst staying at World of Waves you will enjoy free WiFi, complimentary breakfast and bottled water on arrival. A surf school is located next door to the restaurant and offers surfboard rental and lessons. If you’re looking for places to relax, there are shared balconies and chill areas.
World of Waves offers packages to suit your needs including Surf School catered to beginner and intermediate surfers and Surf Guiding which is more tailored towards experienced surfers. The bed and breakfast package provides breakfast for you to enjoy on the oceanfront which is a short walk from your room and will be one of the highlights of your stay.
